IN THE TRENCHES: THROUGH MUD AND BLOOD TAKING PRE-ORDERS

The third installment of the In the Trenches series, In the Trenches: Through Mud and Blood, is now taking pre-orders. This pre-order period will last 6-8 weeks, depending on the level of response. Pre-ordering makes it possible for us to put in our order for die-cut counters, the first that will appear in this series. Pre-ordering allows you to take advantage of great savings, as the game will be released at a price of $62 CAD but you can pre-order for $52.70 CAD, a savings of 15% off of the regular price.

Once the game is ready for shipment, pre-ordered games will have priority.

Please go to the Shop page to pre-order today!

In the Trenches: Through Mud and Blood is the third installment of the In the Trenches series. Designed by John Gorkowski, this series enables players to game historically accurate simulations of tactical operations of the Great War. In the Trenches: Through Mud and Blood is the first in the series to feature die-cut counters. Along with these 264 die-cut counters, the game features five maps, seven operations, an aid sheet, and the series' rulebook. One of the operations takes place on the Macedonian Front, pitting British and Bulgarians soldiers against each other. Three of the operations involve tanks on the Western Front, one takes place in the trenches during Germany's last great offensive of the war, and two operations cover the famous American "Lost Battalion" and its battle in the Charlevaux Valley in October 1918.

Please check back during the next few weeks for more images of the game!

The pre-order period will end between May 15, 2010 and May 31, 2010.

THE PURSUIT OF VON SPEE WITH DIE-CUT COUNTERS NOW SHIPPING!

The Pursuit of von Spee has been re-released with die-cut counters. This is a first for Jeux Grenier Games, and will be the way we go forward. Please go to the Shop page to order this new edition of The Pursuit of von Spee or to order a set of the die-cut counters for this game, if you already own a copy.

The Pursuit of von Spee puts you in command of either the German East Asiatic Squadron or the various Allied fleets of the Indian and Pacific Oceans during the first months of World War I. Admiral von Spee led his small fleet of cruisers across the Pacific, wreaking havoc among Allied shipping and sending the Royal Navy into a panic. His epic cruise took him from the shores of China all the way to the frigid waters of the South Atlantic, where he and his men met their end at the Battle of the Falklands in December 1914. The Pursuit of von Spee uses an innovative fog-of-war system, ensuring that neither the Allied nor the German player is aware of the whereabouts of his or her foe. It is a game of subterfuge and bluff, of luck and skill. Can you disrupt Allied shipping and lead your ships to hearth and home? Can you find and destroy von Spee's cruisers in the empty expanses of the Pacific?

RE-RELEASE OF "THE PURSUIT OF VON SPEE" WITH DIE-CUT COUNTERS

That's right, Jeux Grenier Games is now beginning to offer die-cut counters for our games. The Pursuit of von Spee will be the first Jeux Grenier Games product to feature die-cut counters, and we hope to have die-cut counters in all of our future games. We may also be able to go back and re-release all of our games with die-cut counters.

To be able to offer die-cut counters, however, we need to change the way we publish games. In the past we've printed games as they were ordered, but to offer die-cut counters we need to put in a bulk order with our printer. So, we need to build up some pre-orders before being able to go ahead with the re-release of The Pursuit of von Spee.

Please head to the Shop page to put in your pre-order. We need 50 pre-orders (P-50) before we can go ahead with the re-release of The Pursuit of von Spee. The game will be priced at $54 Canadian once we reach 50 pre-orders, but until then you can get the game for $51 Canadian.

If you already own a copy of the game but would like a set of die-cut counters, they are available for $15.00 Canadian, plus shipping. These will represent half an order for the P-50 drive.

Please put your pre-order in today, and tell your friends! We need to reach 50. You can follow the tally of pre-order on the Consimworld.com forum for The Pursuit of von Spee.

Die-cut counters marks a new era for Jeux Grenier Games, and you can help get it started!

In the Trenches: Opening Engagements is the first game of the In the Trenches series. Designed by John Gorkowski, this series enables players to game historically accurate simulations of tactical operations from The Great War. ITT challenges players to move and fight with company-level formations made of separate platoon-sized units during 5-minute, impulse-based turns on historically accurate maps scaled to 100 yards per hex. This approach recreates WWI command and control problems to inspire historically accurate play without forcing decisions. The first game in the series, Opening Engagements, features a cavalry duel between Austrians and Russians on the Eastern Front, an encounter battle between the French and Germans in the Battle of the Frontiers, and the Japanese/British assault on German positions outside of the German colony of Tsingtao in China.

COMING SPRING 2008 - THE PURSUIT OF VON SPEE

In the Spring of 2008, Grenier Games plans to release The Pursuit of von Spee, a naval warfare game covering the cruise of the German East Asiatic Squadron during World War I. Admiral Maximilian von Spee's small fleet spread panic throughout the Allied navies in the Pacific, and took him to such disparate locations as eastern China, the south Pacific, Chile, and the Falklands. Using an innovative fog-of-war system, this game has endless replay value and will keep both sides guessing from start to finish.

Please visit the discussion forum at Consimworld (WWI Era section) to follow along as this game is developed and released. You can help with the development of this game, as your suggestions, questions, and ideas are appreciated.
